Jayden's Room

| After moving in on
September 6th, Jayden got his new bedding and curtains up,
and we even got him new fish for his fish tank! So
far he really likes his new room! |

| On
Memorial Day weekend 2008, we cleaned up the 2nd floor,
and brought in the area rug for Jayden's room. See
how well it goes with his box of toys? Note the
uncluttered floor; you wont see this often. <grin> |

| On
February 24th, 2008, we ran power into the breaker panel
to test some circuits, and lo and behold we had a working
ceiling fan in Jayden's room! It was officially the
first light in the house to be left on as well. See the
work log for details. <grin> |

 Here Kass is sanding down
Jayden's door so she can paint the outside of it before
she re-stains the inside of his door. She really
enjoys stripping. Paint that is!

| Over
the weekend of August 25th, 2007, we finished up Jayden's
room. Here Rick is hooking up the new ceiling fan we
picked up for his room. |

Above you can see Kass
putting the first coat of gray on the floor after the
walls had been done, and the primer had been put down
on the floor. Left the room is done except for
the molding & outlets!

Here you can finally see
the repaired flooring, insulation & vapor barrier,
and with just three of the 4 by 12 sheets, the ceiling
is done!
...............................................We sadly did have a mishap and broke the lower window with a corner of the sheet rock. Luckily it's easy to fix! Below Kass took a picture of Rick working on the ceiling. (See guys; I *do* work on the house too!) |

A whole lot of work has been accomplished in this room, but we don't seem to have many pictures of it! The flooring was completed, as well as the missing piece of siding along the floor. The windows have been restored, and as seen in the picture to the right we have wired it for electricity and telephone and DSL as well. We've put in the insulation on the exterior walls and just need to do a vapor barrier and we can begin sheet rocking it! |

Jayden's was the first room to be completely "gutted". Kass spent all day working on the ceiling in this room, only to get a black eye in the process! A rubber mallet fell out of the attic and hit her on the eyebrow, giving her a grape size "egg" and a lovely "purple eye shadow" look for a week! Now we just need to get the floor repaired and this room is ready to put back together! . . |

the lathe & plaster was just too much fun for him! |
 Here is Jayden's room in
late October 2004, cleaned out and ready to remove the
plaster to re-wire & insulate the walls.

 Still need to repair the ceiling, wall & floor damage in the corner, but that will come soon enough. :) |

hallway, clawfoot tub blocking the doorway. This
will end up being Jayden's room once we move in.
